Step 1 — Place Your Bet

The player places their opening bet amount. Whether you bet small or large is up to you — it depends on your own judgment.

The Ace's flexibility is what makes Blackjack so interesting. If counting the Ace as 11 would take you over 21, you can switch it to 1 and avoid a Bust — this is called a Soft Hand.
